What we do
In our communities, senior high school students often face challenges transitioning from formal education to the workforce due to a lack of practical skills, career guidance, and real-world experience.
Many students struggle to find meaningful opportunities for skill development and career exploration during their school vacations, leading to a disconnect between their academic learning and the demands of the job market.
Additionally, there is a need for more comprehensive support systems to address the diverse needs and interests of students and ensure they are adequately prepared for future success.
These challenges contribute to high rates of youth unemployment and underemployment, as well as limited opportunities for personal and professional growth among senior high school students.
Without access to quality programs and resources that bridge the gap between education and employment, students may face barriers to achieving their full potential and making informed decisions about their futures.
The Vocation on Vacation Program seeks to address these challenges by providing senior high school students with opportunities for hands-on learning, skill development, career exploration, and personal growth during their school vacations.
By offering a comprehensive program that integrates workshops, internships, apprenticeships, career guidance sessions, community service projects, cultural activities, and exposure to emerging technologies, the program aims to empower students with the tools, experiences, and support they need to thrive in the workforce and contribute positively to their communities.
